ACTIS / GIC / SERENA ENERGIA to acquire SERENA ENERGIA

ACTIS, GIC and Serena Energia have agreed to a transaction involving the acquisition of Serena Energia. The deal structure involves a consortium of investors purchasing the target business, which operates within the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector. No financial consideration or specific deal value has been disclosed to the public at this stage. The transaction was announced on 21 May 2025, with the buyer group comprising three distinct entities working in unison to secure the asset.

The target company remains active within its current operational framework while the acquisition process proceeds. Regulatory bodies are currently reviewing the proposed arrangement to ensure compliance with all relevant market rules and competition laws. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval before it can be formally completed.
