1 getting-started resource
Start where you are
Make your own master sheet, choose your current stage and work on the next useful outcome. You do not need to complete every template at once.
Build a buyer-ready document set without starting from scratch.
The Template Vault is an editable document library for business sale preparation. Use it to organise financial evidence, assign responsibilities, prepare buyer materials and track diligence. It gives you working files, not a valuation opinion or an adviser-led sale process.
How to put it to work
- Open the linked PDF guide from your Exit Mode account after payment.
- Sign into Google and make private copies of the master sheet and the resources you need.
- Choose your current stage, assign an owner to each document and replace the prompts with accurate business information.
Best if you want editable documents and spreadsheets you can work on with your team. Choose the Toolkit for interactive tools and deal research, or the Academy for a structured course. Legal drafts require qualified review before use.
Before you buy
What format are the business sale templates?+
The library has 24 Google Sheets, 21 Google Docs and one Google Slides presentation, plus a linked PDF guide and master sheet. You need a Google account to make and edit your own copies.
Is the Template Vault a course or an online valuation tool?+
No. It is a document and spreadsheet library. The Academy is the course; the Toolkit is the separate collection of interactive tools and research resources. The live Sector Multiples tool is not included in a standalone Vault purchase.
Can I share company information safely?+
Keep business information in your own private copies and control access to those copies. Do not put confidential business data in a publicly shared template. Review permissions before inviting colleagues or advisers.
Can I use the legal templates without a lawyer?+
Treat legal drafts as preparation starting points, not transaction-ready advice. UK drafts use an England and Wales basis; US drafts need state-specific adaptation. Ask a qualified adviser to review the documents for your circumstances.
Practical guides to help you prepare
These are editable preparation templates, not a course or an adviser service. Legal drafts are starting points for qualified professional review; UK drafts use an England and Wales basis and US drafts need state-specific adaptation. Obtain relevant legal, tax and financial advice before using them in a transaction.
The live Sector Multiples tool is part of the separate Exit Mode Toolkit and is not included in this Vault.
